In Remindax, passwords are set by an administrator rather than self-reset: an admin goes to Manage → Users → edit the user → Change Password, and the new password can be sent to the user. If you're locked out after repeated failed logins, there's a 1-hour wait before you can try again. If you've lost your two-step verification (2SV) device, you can log in using the email OTP backup. If you can log in but can't do something, that's a role/permission limit, not a login problem.

Resetting a password (admin-set)

Remindax doesn't use a self-service "forgot password" reset. Instead, an administrator sets the password:

  1. An admin goes to Manage → Users.
  2. They open the user and choose Edit / Change Password.
  3. A new password is set and can be sent to the user.

If you're a user who can't log in, ask an administrator on your account to set you a new password. If you're the account owner/admin and can't get in, contact support.

Locked out after failed attempts

Remindax locks login after repeated failed attempts. The unlock is a 1-hour wait — after an hour, try again with the correct credentials. If you don't know the correct password, have an administrator set a new one for you (see above).

Lost your 2SV device

Two-step verification (2SV) is managed under My Settings → Security, where you toggle it on/off and set it up in two steps (scan the QR code, then verify the code).

If you've lost access to your authenticator app, use the email OTP backup: during login, choose the email backup option to receive a one-time code by email instead of the authenticator app. This lets you complete sign-in when the Authenticator app is unavailable.

Can log in, but can't do something

If login works but a button is missing or greyed out, this is a permissions matter, not a login problem. Roles (Administrator vs Editor / Limited Access) determine what each user can do. Ask an Administrator to adjust your role if needed. See Users, Roles & Permissions.

What happens next

  • After an admin sets your password, log in with the new credentials.
  • After the 1-hour lockout passes (or you use a correct new password), normal login resumes.
  • Once you've signed in via email OTP, you can reconfigure your authenticator under My Settings → Security.

Edge cases & gotchas

  • No self-service password reset. Password changes go through an administrator — there's no "forgot password" email-reset link.
  • Wrong company after login: if everything looks empty or unfamiliar, you may be in the wrong company/workspace — switch using the top-right selector.
  • Owner vs user recovery differ: a regular user can be helped by an admin; the account owner who's fully locked out should contact support with proof of ownership.
