Click the Columns button at the top right of Explorer and tick the columns you want visible (untick those you don't). Your choices are remembered in your browser so the same view appears next time you open Explorer. Column order itself is fixed — you can hide and show columns, but not drag them into a new order.
Steps
- Open Explorer.
- Click the Columns button (top-right, near the filter and sort controls).
- In the picker, tick or untick each column:
- Title, Type, Custom Fields, Tags, Contacts
- Date, Days Left, Active, Status
- Folders, Items
- User, Date Created
- Actions
- Close the picker. The table updates immediately.
What happens next
- Your column choices apply to your current view.
- Choices persist per browser, since Explorer's table is configured to save column visibility state. Open Explorer again in the same browser and your selections are still there.
Edge cases & gotchas
- Column order is fixed. The Columns picker controls visibility only — there's no drag-to-reorder.
- Persistence is per browser, not per user account. Logging in from a different browser or device starts with the default columns.
- Showing too many columns makes rows wrap and harder to scan. Show only what's relevant to the task.
- Some columns depend on context — Folders/Items only make sense when folders are in the list; Custom Fields are empty if no item in view has them.
- Hiding a column doesn't change the underlying data — it's only hidden from this view.
- Column visibility doesn't affect the structured Export Data page, which always uses its own fixed column set. It does affect the "Export Results" DataTables button (Copy / Excel / PDF / Print) where that button is available (Search Results, Archived Items, Recycle Bin), since those table exports use visible columns only.
