The Inbox is your in-app feed of items needing your attention. The sidebar badge (a yellow rounded-pill count next to "Inbox") shows your unread total; the Inbox page filters into six pills — All, Unread, Alerts, Expired, Reminders, Replies, Notices. Opening an item does not mark it read — you mark each row read explicitly, or use Mark all as read.
Filter pills
The Inbox is filtered through these pills at the top of the page (Unread is the default):
- All — everything.
- Unread — items you haven't marked read yet (default view).
- Alerts — system or product alerts.
- Expired — expired reminders surfaced here for attention.
- Reminders — reminder-related notifications.
- Replies — recipients' replies on your reminders.
- Notices — general informational messages.
Per-row actions
For each Inbox row:
- Unread rows show a mark-read action (circle-check icon) — click it to mark that row read.
- Read rows show a checked indicator (double-check icon) — confirming the read state.
- The Item column is a link that jumps to the related item or task.
There is currently no delete, archive, or multi-select on Inbox rows. Bulk operations are limited to the Mark all as read button below.
Top-level actions
- Mark all as read — marks every unread notification across the company as read in one action (it applies to all unread, not just the visible filter).
- Search, sorting, pagination, and page-size controls — standard DataTables controls on the Inbox list.
How the unread count works
The sidebar Inbox badge is a yellow rounded pill showing your unread total. It hides when you have no unread items.
Opening an item from the Inbox does not automatically mark the row as read. The badge changes only when you:
- Click the mark-read action on a row.
- Click Mark all as read.
How Inbox differs from other replies/activity views
- Inbox Replies pill — your unread feed of recent replies (read state-tracked).
- Dashboard Recent Replies — a preview of recent reply activity (recency-based, not read state).
- Replies report (View All Replies) — the full, filterable historical list.
For setting up the dropdown recipients use when replying, see Configure Reply Status.
What happens next
- Click a row's mark-read action to clear it from the unread count.
- Click the Item link in a row to open the related reminder or task.
- Click Mark all as read to clear all unread items at once.
Edge cases & gotchas
- Inbox is per-company. The badge and items reflect the company in the top-right selector.
- Opening an item doesn't clear it from the badge — you must mark it read explicitly.
- No multi-select. You mark rows one at a time, or use Mark all as read for everything.
- No delete or archive on Inbox rows. They live as read/unread; there isn't a way to remove individual notifications from the feed.
- Don't confuse the Inbox with your email client. This is Remindax's internal feed; it's not your email.
- Expired Reminders in the Inbox doesn't auto-renew anything. Renew the document, then mark the item complete (see Mark a reminder complete).
