Open the Reports module, pick a report, set its filters, and click View Report / View Activity / View Replies / Run (the label varies by report). The data appears in a table. Most reports have Copy / Excel / PDF / Print buttons above the table for export. Reports don't auto-update when filters change — you click the run button to refresh.
Before you start
- You need the
report_viewpermission. Master users have it by default; Editors need it granted on their Permissions screen. - Decide what date range you need. Date pickers are two date inputs ("from" date TO "to" date) — there are no preset buttons currently, so type or pick the dates manually.
Steps
- Open the Reports module from the sidebar.
- Pick the specific report from the card list (Reminders, Document Validity, Activity, Replies, etc.).
- Set the date range in the two date inputs.
- Apply any other report-specific filters:
- Reminders Report: reminder status (All, Scheduled, Sent, Failed).
- Document Validity Report: validity status (Show All, Expired, Valid).
- Reminder Replies Report: contact.
- Document Types Report: document type.
- Fleet Compliance Report: search, compliance status, vehicle type.
- Activity Report: date range only.
- User Permissions Report: no active filters.
- Click View Report / View Activity / View Replies / Run to load results.
- Review the table.
The filters you set are preserved in the page URL — useful for sharing a specific filtered view with a teammate.
Export the report
Once results are displayed, look above the table for export buttons. The export options vary by report:
- Activity, Reminder Replies, Document Types, Document Validity — Copy, Excel, PDF, Print buttons.
- Reminders Report — Print button only.
- Fleet Compliance, User Permissions — no export buttons currently.
Click the format you need. The export uses the visible table state — current columns, sort, and any in-table search. If you want everything, clear in-table search first and confirm all relevant columns are visible.
Scheduled reports — what's available and what isn't
The report pages themselves don't have a scheduling feature. There's no "email this Activity Report to me every Monday."
The one scheduled report-like feature in Remindax is the weekly expiry summary under Email Preferences. It's a weekly summary of expiring items — useful for staying ahead of renewals, but not the same as a scheduled Activity / Replies / Compliance report.
If your workflow needs scheduled delivery of one of the seven reports, options are:
- Manual cadence — run and export on a recurring schedule yourself.
- Bookmark filtered URLs — your filters live in the URL, so saving a bookmark with the right filters means running takes seconds.
- Contact support if scheduled delivery is critical to your workflow.
What happens next
- The downloaded file is on your computer for use elsewhere.
- The report's URL preserves your filters, so a back-button or bookmark returns to the same view.
- A fresh visit (new tab, new session) usually resets to defaults — typically the current month.
Edge cases & gotchas
- No CSV export. Excel is offered (.xlsx); CSV isn't a separate option in the current product.
- Reports are per-company. Switching companies switches the report data shown.
- Filtered exports = filtered file. The export reflects the visible table, not the full dataset.
- Large date ranges can take longer to run. A 12-month Activity report has more rows than a 1-week one.
- Reports aren't real-time dashboards. They load on Run and stay static until you re-run.
- Some reports overlap with Explorer Export. For full item data with custom fields, Explorer's Export Data page gives a complete snapshot. Reports are for analytical/time-windowed views.
- No preset date range buttons. Type or click the dates you want manually.
Related questions
- How do I run a report? Reports → pick the report → set date range and filters → click View Report / Run.
- What formats can I export to? Excel, PDF, Copy, Print on most reports. Reminders Report has Print only. Two reports (Fleet Compliance, User Permissions) have no export currently.
- Can I schedule a report to email me weekly? Not from the report pages. The weekly expiry summary in Email Preferences is the only scheduled report-like feature.
- Can I share a filtered report with my team? Yes — filters live in the URL, so the URL itself preserves your filter selections (the teammate needs
report_view). - Why don't my filters persist when I leave the report? They live in the URL. Going to a fresh URL (e.g. clicking the report from the Reports module) resets to defaults; using your browser back or a bookmark restores filters.
- How do I get a "Last 30 Days" preset? No preset buttons currently — type the dates into the two date inputs.
