AI SmartDoc is Remindax's automated document intake. You upload a document (PDF, DOCX, JPG, PNG), SmartDoc extracts the key fields — title, expiry date, document type, plus relevant custom fields — and pre-fills a new reminder for you. Instead of typing every field for every renewal, SmartDoc gets the data off the page. Documents are processed by OpenAI as part of the extraction.
Open AI SmartDoc, drag-and-drop or browse to choose your file, and click Scan with AI. SmartDoc returns an extraction result with a confidence percentage. Review the new reminder form (which is pre-filled below the result), click Apply to commit the SmartDoc data into the form, adjust anything wrong, then Save to create the reminder. The original file is automatically attached.

SmartDoc works best on clean, single-document PDFs with predictable layouts. Good scans, native PDFs (over image-based PDFs), tight cropping, and consistent document type names all improve accuracy. Use SmartDoc for routine, high-volume document intake; use manual reminder creation for one-off items where typing is faster than reviewing extraction. Watch your monthly token budget — heavy users can hit the cap.
