How to Manage Document Types

Go to Manage → Document Types. Use + New to create a type (e.g. Contract, Insurance, License) or Import to add many at once via CSV/XLS/XLSX (first column = name, max 500 KB). You can't delete a document type that has active items using it — Remindax shows "Cannot delete. There are X documents associated with it." — and you can't delete all of your document types either.

How to Manage Tags

Tags are flexible labels you attach to reminders for cross-cutting categorisation and filtering — a reminder can carry many. The Tags page in Manage is master-user only (Owner or Privileged Administrator). Tags can be created two ways: centrally on the Tags page, or on the fly by typing a new tag name when adding tags to a reminder. Deleting a tag from the Tags page removes it from the suggestion list but doesn't block based on items currently using it.

How to Create, Edit, Move, and Delete Folders

Folders organise reminders into a nested structure (folders within folders). Create one in Explorer with + New → Folder. Row actions are Edit, Move, Delete via the row ⋯ menu. Single folder delete is blocked if the folder has any subfolders or items — to delete a folder with contents, use bulk delete in Explorer, which moves the entire folder tree (subfolders and items included) to the Recycle Bin.

How to Manage Departments

Departments represent your internal team structure (HR, Finance, Legal, Operations…). Go to Manage → Departments to Create Department, Edit Department, Make Default, or Delete. A reminder is associated with the currently selected department when it's created (there's no department dropdown inside the reminder form). A department can't be deleted if it has any active items, Drive files, or contacts — and the default department can't be deleted from the UI.

How to Create, Rename, Switch Between, and Delete Companies

Companies are managed at Manage → Companies. Use the top-right company selector to switch between them (master users also see a Manage… option there). Each company has its own item, contact, and Drive storage limits drawn from your account-level subscription pool — limits aren't per-company quotas, they're slices of the overall account allotment. Only master users (Owner or Privileged Administrator) can create or delete companies, and a company can only be deleted if it isn't the default, has no active items, and has no users associated with it.

Organising Playbook — Choosing How to Structure Your Workspace

Remindax gives you five organising layers — Companies, Departments, Folders, Tags, and Document Types — and the right way to use them is to map each layer to a single concept in your business. The cleanest setup uses: Companies for separate legal entities or clients, Departments for internal teams (and the context where new items land), Folders for primary filing, Document Types for the kind of document (mandatory anyway), and Tags for cross-cutting groupings.
